At 22, I turned my passion into PolarBakes, making bespoke birthday and wedding cakes you won’t find on any shop shelf in South Wales. We’re sure that we’re not the only ones that enjoy popping down to our local bakery for a lovely loaf and eyeing up all the cakes that are on display. Founded in 2005 by Sian and Ian Hindle, La Creme Patisserie is the place to go for incredible cakes, desserts, patisserie and afternoon tea. Our cake kitchen produces over 50,000 cakes every week for foodservice customers across the UK.

Established in 2016 we are now an award-winning business based just a stone’s throw away from the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport. Our specialties are Weddings, Celebration cakes & Corporate Events. A cake is a fantastic way to make an impression whether for a wedding, birthday, engagement, anniversary or any other special event. I have an eye for perfection and sweat all the small details to make sure every cake fits the brief, looks like a show stopper and tastes like a real crowd pleaser. We also produce handmade beautiful Celebration Cakes for all occasions. One of the more modern on the list, this gorgeous little bakery was set up in 2003 and now boasts beautiful shops in Rhos-on-Sea and Conwy. It seems we’re not the only ones that enjoy the artisan bread and endless amount of cake goodness, as it was recently featured on ITV. We are a small family business and we provide a service of the highest quality and the finest cakes. Fresh handmade cakes delivered to your door locally in south west Wales. We are a family run business situated in South Wales, covering areas all around South Wales & South West England.

Seasonal Speciality

Its jam Welsh cakes are lush and we guarantee you’ve buttered up their bread on more than one occasion. Aww, we love Jenkins Bakery, it has been run by the same family since 1921 and has taken over most of South West Wales. Lunchtimes just aren’t complete without stopping off for a few pasties and sweet treats.

The foodie cooks everything herself and delivers the baked goods within a one-mile radius of her home – you don’t get fresher than that. Reginald Charles Burt, became resident baker at the Gwalia Bakery in Ogmore Vale in part of a general store established to service the needs of the local community. Gwalia Stores is now preserved as a heritage building at St Fagans National Museum of History Cardiff. Whether it’s a wedding or other type of celebration, get in touch with us and we will work together to create something magical. Come bespoke birthday cake and meet us at one of the many food festivals we attend. Another family tradition, Brace’s began in Blackwood in the very early 1900s.

Born and bread (see what we did there?!) in North Wales, this tasty treasure has deliciously doughy delights. We’re rather fond of the chunky meat pies and slices with locally sourced produce, mmm. Our ‘pride in our products’ motto is reflected in a great selection of breads, pastries, freshly baked savouries, filled rolls, baguettes and sandwiches.
